Drive Your Old Truck Day 2017!
/June 25, 2017 (the last Sunday in June) will be our fourth year of celebrating National Drive Your Old Truck Day (DYOTD), a holiday we created to motivate ourselves and other old truck owners to get their trucks out of storage and onto the road.
Last year, we had a record participation. Photos, letters, emails, and even videos flooded our mailboxes—both physical and digital. We found that some of the owners who have been celebrating with us since the beginning have gotten friends involved and made an event out of it, such as a breakfast get-together. For many people, driving his or her old truck was just a typical day.
We would like to acknowledge Gary Trimble and the Tipton County Historical Society in Indiana for hosting their third DYOTD gathering last year. The event even made the local paper. Kudos, Gary and Tipton County!
Let’s make DYOTD even bigger this year! Please email your photos from this year's DYOTD by Monday, July 10th to our editor, Brad Bowling (brad@ertelpublishing.com). If you would prefer to send it through the mail, please write to:
