Maryland’s Mopar Specialist—B&B Auto Salvage, Ltd.

The yard we are going to spotlight today is B&B Auto Salvage, Ltd. of Upper Marlboro, Maryland. B&B has the reputation of being the best salvage yard in Maryland for obtaining vintage Mopar parts.

There are several Dodge trucks in the back of the yard, including this 1967 D200 truck.

While over half of the inventory in the yard is Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth, and Desoto, there are also many vintage Chevrolet and Ford parts cars and trucks, as well as a few foreign gems.

This 1956 Windsor station wagon is a very unusual find for a salvage yard especially in this condition.

The years for vehicles range from 1946 to later, and during my last visit, I counted 120 vintage vehicles including the 10 out front that are for sale as projects. The vehicles are neatly arranged in sections for easier shopping. The truck section is all the way in the back.

This truck has been stripped down to just the cab, but it remains in the yard because the cab is worth saving.

B&B was started in 1956 by Frank Regal Jr. Today it is run by his two sons Frank III and Mark. The business continues to grow. As of today, it has 14 employees, on-site mechanics to do automotive work, and over 1,000 parts vehicles—120 of which are vintage.

The Ford section, which has only 10 vehicles, offers this 1978 Ranchero, a vehicle which is gaining respect with the modern collector and is really tough to find parts for.

This is the second Dodge truck that I found in the truck section of the yard.

I spotted four vintage vehicles in to-be-crushed pile, which drove home the fact that B&B can’t keep them all and that it is always best to get parts before it is too late.

Finding a Volkswagen “Thing” (Type 181) is a dream for a parts hunter who has one. This vehicle is very unusual and very rare.

Even though Mopar cars are the specialty, there is variety in the yard for all car enthusiasts, and there are many trucks in the back with a lot of good parts available.

There are a few panel vans in the yard. What makes this one special is that it is a Dodge. Most of the ones I run across are either Chevrolet or GMC.

Many of the trucks are rare, and a few of the projects for sale are very desirable. It is definitely worth your time to check this place out.

This 1953 Plymouth panel will be a project car that will probably sell pretty fast because it is so unusual.

Some of the project vehicles that sit out front of the business would be fun to undertake, like this Ford station wagon.
