2018 Vintage Truck Magazine Show Wrapup
/ Brad BowlingOur 17th Annual Vintage Truck Magazine Truck Show in Yellow Springs, Ohio, proved to be our biggest one yet. Owners came from nine states, including Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Kentucky, New York, Missouri, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina. Ford, Dodge, GMC, International, Studebaker, Willys, Crosley, Dorris, FWD, and Federal were also represented, as well as fire trucks and vehicles that once served the United States military. Enthusiastic VT readers Lynn Samons trailered a 1946 Chevrolet stakeside 436 miles from Foreston, Illinois, and Klas Anderson drove his 1964 Chevy C-10 Panel Delivery 434 miles from Trinity, North Carolina, to attend the show.
In addition to the wonderful folks at Young’s Jersey Dairy (YoungsDairy.com), who have provided the show’s site for the past 17 years, our show had support in the form of Gold Level sponsor LMC Truck (LMCTruck.com) and Bronze Level sponsors Home City Tent and Awning Co. (HomeCityTent.com) and the American Truck Historical Society (ATHS.org). Not only did the box of LMC Truck baseball caps provide welcome relief from the bright August sunlight, but the company sent two gift cards for $100 each to be used as door prizes. Home City, which has set up our show tents for many years, provided our show stage. ATHS sent a representative who spent the day answering questions about his group’s club and shows.
Mark your calendars for Aug. 3, 2019, for our 18th Annual Vintage Truck Magazine Truck Show.
