Chevrolet Ambulance – A Modest Professional

The 1951 Chevrolet ambulance that appears in the March/April 2012 issue of Vintage Truck magazine is owned by Michael Della Gala of Glendale, California. Originally a sedan delivery, the vehicle was converted into an ambulance by Guy Barnette and Co. in Memphis, Tennessee, and used by Masonic Home Hospital in Utica, New York, as a patient transport and paint shop and maintenance vehicle until 1975.
